I think some people read and understand what they are reading but some people have to go back and understand. What they have just read because if they don't they are going to forget because I have that problem some times when I am reading a very long passage.

Knowing what I'm reading helps me read faster. If it catches my eye and I'm into it then I will re-read it.

What makes me read more fluent is following along with my finger. A hard question will make me go back and read again.

The fact that its a timed test it makes me read more fluent and faster
