High school is a stressful time for most students and teachers; I cannot imagine the compounded stress added to students that don't have a stable and safe home. The frustration with the social service system, the need to keep up on school work, athletic requirements, not to mention clean clothes and laundry. What can we do to help as teachers, as a school system? We need to do better at creating a safe and bully-free environment for those students! Students need to all be aware of whom they should contact, where they can find help or services, and how they can access those people.

try not to give so much homework because a lot of people are stressed as it is and just have more quizzes so you know if people are learning the topic.

students now of days care mostly about sports, and teachers should find a way to help them with their work.

I agree that we do need to do something about thsi situation, it's very said seeing students with no clothes, dirty cotes , a bad parenthood , bad shoes , not eating all the time .We could start a fundraiser and start giving the money to the families in need of the money because of the students to make there life much better .

I agree with the article, I feel like schools should have that one teacher besides a guidance consular for comfort. I know certain kids who would trust their teacher and feel like they wont tell. Teachers should be prepared for situations like that because they are faced everyday. They should have some type of resources in the school and community to help. Have some type of plan to help the next child from struggling.

teachers should let students know they are here to help them, genuinely. Always offer extra help if you see a student struggling to show you care.

I think schools should get more involved to try to make the school a better place.

I think teacher should not give a lot of work because it stresses students and I think they should teach them 1 on 1 for the teacher know they know it

Don't be on the kids case and yell at him a lot and try to avoid him from being bullied.

Teachers could help students by talking to them about their home life/after school life if the student chooses to.
